I’m loving the character development and enjoyed reading from the perspective of Maddie and War.
Maddie’s life is driven with fear since being traumatized by events from her past. Her love for writing and performing music is when you see a glimps of the real her. She’s got a magnifying sultry beautiful voice that can pull in even the caged heart of biker War.
War, a sexy ripped alpha male who is sucked in by Maddy after hearing her sing. He shows dominance and patience with maddy through the whole story which showed a softer side to the rugged bad boy biker.
Love can change you.
Can’t wait to read Orion and Vi’s story

I am in LOVE with these characters – and with how HOT of a read this novel was! AG Kirkham is quite the storyteller. Her words just flow, and the passion almost sizzles off the pages. I read this whole book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down!
This is the second book in a series, but it reads well as a stand-alone, if you want to hop right in here. This was my first read from this author, and now I will be going back and reading book 1 because I want more!

I know the type of sass, sizzle, and suspense that I like, and War by A.G. Kirkham ticks all of the boxes. War is the perfect, absolutely delicious alpha male to play the titular role, and titillate is exactly what he does. Maddie is fragile and raw following a pretty harrowing experience, her beauty instantly drawing War into the fold despite any reservations she’s having. I loved the dialogue in the story, and I adored how authentic both War and Maddie feel as we’re given alternating first-person points of view. Kirkham uses a steady hand in peeling away the layers and it’s refreshing in a genre where patience tends to get lost in the heat and steam of the moment. I think readers will really enjoy this book as much as I look forward to the next to be released in the series – Jamie Michele
War: Satan’s Pride Series by AG Kirkham is a gem of a novel that every romance reader will love to explore. Hot and heavy, the novel has two very strong characters who know what they want from life (regardless of how reluctant a particular character is to accept that) and are not afraid to stand up for themselves. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Xander aka War and Maddie; they complemented each other and acted as a team. I loved how Xander was the go-getter of the two. He is a man of action; he is confident, reliable and strong. Maddie, on the other hand, is a little hesitant and reluctant to get back into the action, regardless of how much she loves her music. The pace was fast, the narrative was very well-written and the flow was just amazing. I read it in one sitting and I loved every single moment of it. – Rabia Tanveer
Both emotionally intense and steamy in its romantic content, this mature novel is sure to please fans of the romance genre who are looking for a great balance in content. Author A. G. Kirkman shows a fantastic commitment to the development of the emotional backstory of the characters, making them relatable through the grim experiences of their past and giving both War and Maddie compatible flaws and ways in which they are able to heal and help one another. The side cast from the MC and the band are well drawn and fleshed out too, making this a whirlwind romance that is grounded in real emotional roots. Overall, War is certain to please readers with its inventive scene arrangements, atmospheric writing and powerful sense of characters: a recommended read.– K C Finn
War is part of A.G. Kirkham’s Satan’s Pride series. This novel follows the stories of Maddie and War as fate brings them together, despite events from the past and promises made to themselves attempting to keep them apart. There are some highly erotic and sensual scenes handled with passion and taste. Romance, insecurities, looming threats, and friendships drive this plot forward. While part of a series, this book reads perfectly as stand-alone and perhaps even drops hints of what I suspect will be another tale between Vi and Orion. Lovely romance, engaging, descriptive, and passionate. A great summer sizzler to lose yourself in. – K.J. Simmill
